Removals, truck hire & rubble removal in West Coast

The West Coast stretches north from Cape Town along the R27 and N7. It includes suburbs just outside the metro, like Table View and Blouberg, and towns further up the coast and inland: Langebaan, Saldanha and Vredenburg, Velddrif, Darling, Atlantis and Malmesbury.

Jobs we often quote on the West Coast

• Moves between Cape Town and West Coast towns: retirement, relocation for work, and holiday homes
• Holiday-home furnishing and clear-outs
• Rubble removal and building material delivery for the many building projects along the coast
• Farm and smallholding deliveries in the Swartland
• Commercial and industrial transport around Saldanha Bay

Access on the West Coast

Coastal properties often have sandy driveways and soft ground, and strong wind can affect loading on exposed sites. Many coastal developments and estates require contractor registration and set moving hours. Please tell us:

• both addresses and the preferred dates
• where a truck can safely stop and turn
• any estate access rules

Pricing on the West Coast

Distances on the West Coast are longer than metro trips. Langebaan, for example, is well over 100 km from central Cape Town. Most West Coast jobs are therefore priced on distance or include a travel surcharge. If you have more than one job in the area, such as a delivery and a collection, mention both. Combining trips can reduce costs.

Good to know

West Coast moves are long-distance work, so preparation matters more than for local moves. Pack fully before moving day, label boxes by room, and keep a separate bag with essentials for your first night. If you're furnishing a holiday home, consider buying furniture from several shops in Cape Town and having it delivered to one collection point. We can then do a single trip up the coast. Coastal properties can be affected by strong south-easterly winds in summer, which makes loading large, light items like mattresses and tables trickier. Morning moves are often calmer. Sandy plots and unpaved roads near the coast should be mentioned upfront so we send a vehicle that won't get stuck.
